Agriculture

Dai-Nippon Doboku (DNC) works to fully realize agriculture’s roles—both in ensuring a stable food supply and in delivering its multiple public benefits—while supporting the revitalization of rural communities. Through community contribution programs we lead and through initiatives by local governments, NPOs, and other organizations, we aim to create beautiful rural landscapes, promote urban–rural coexistence, conserve land and the environment, and foster the sound development of local society. To that end, we continuously pursue the following activities:

・Conservation of resources such as farmland and agricultural (irrigation) water
・Support for the maintenance and management of agricultural water facilities—e.g., canals and irrigation ponds—we have constructed
・Support for rural environmental conservation
・Technical assistance for resident-participatory, owner-executed construction works
・Support for initiatives to resolve the issue of abandoned farmland
・Support for disaster risk reduction in rural areas
